David Heetland, 60, fundraising administrator for Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. David had gradual hearing loss for 12 years, but it got increasingly worse during the previous two years. He grew up on a farm and believes his problems were caused by loud machinery. His family also has a generational history of hearing loss.
